How the day is led

This is a personal tour, built for you. Before the day I ask what you have already seen and what you want to understand better — then I draw a route from the archive of sites I work with.

The approach is documentary and absolutely non-political. Every stop is read from the ground up: who built it, who was there, and what happened afterwards. I bring original 1930s photographs and books to help place each site in its period. I am your driver and guide for the full day, the group is maximum three, and the pace is yours.

The route

A route drawn from your interests

No fixed itinerary

The stops are chosen after we talk. Most days are a mix of monumental architecture, memorials, art, graves and lesser-known places that never make a guidebook.

10–12 sites in one day

There is always more material than one day allows. I select a coherent sequence so the places speak to each other, not just to the map.

Private transport

I drive, so the schedule can shift with traffic, weather, or a conversation that runs longer than expected. The car is for you and your party alone.

Meeting point to be discussed

I can collect you at your hotel or at a station that suits your arrival. We settle this when the route is confirmed.

One day

A full-day field study of what the regime left standing between Cologne and the Ruhr. Ten to twelve stops, chosen after we talk: monumental architecture, memorials, art and other secret spots. Documentary in approach, absolutely non-political, and made for people who want a layer deeper than museums.

Custom tours

Every tour is built around your interests. If you would like to explore a different region or theme anywhere in Germany, tell me what you have in mind. With the right communication and enough lead time, almost any area can be turned into a made-to-measure trip lasting from one to three days.

Booking

Reserve a date

Tours run on request, usually a few weeks in advance. Send the form with your preferred date, the number of guests (maximum three), and what you are most interested in seeing. I will reply within two working days with a proposed route and price.
